In 2014 thyssenkrupp – a diversified industrial group with about 155,000 employees in nearly 80 countries all over the world – established a new worldwide organization called Global Shared Services (GSS) aimed at bundling and standardizing global administrative functions in the areas of Finance & Accounting (FI), Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), and Real Estate Management (RE). The goal of GSS is to provide high-quality, competitive standardized processes and thereby establish efficient administrative functions and support processes throughout the Group worldwide. So far, GSS has opened Shared Service Centers (SSC) in Germany (Essen and Bochum), Poland (Gdańsk), Brazil (Porto Alegre) and India (Thane). The sixth and final center will be ramped up in China at the end of 2016.
thyssenkrupp Group Services Gdańsk (tkGSG) Sp. z o.o. is located in a modern office space in the Polish city and will be the biggest of the GSS Service Centers. Up to 700 people will work at this GSS Center. Head of tkGSG is Robert Góra.
