GE in Poland is a fruitful partnership in the area of research and innovation. Engineering Design Center (EDC) was established in 2000 as a joint initiative of GE and the Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Today, EDC employs 2,000 Polish engineers who work closely with many business GE, including GE Aviation, GE Energy, and GE Oil & Gas and GE Rail. The creation of the EDC is a testament to the fact that GE wants to be strongly present on the Polish market as an investor and long-term partner. After more than twenty years since the start of operations in Poland, GE employs more than 10,000 employees in areas as diverse as financial services, health care, electricity production and aviation. An important aspect of the activities of GE is an ambitious project to support the next generation of engineers and innovators through scholarships and internships offered to students of economics, management and direction of engineering and technology.
